Running now until 28 February 2021, over 100 art toys and sculptures by award-winning sculptor and toy designer Jason Freeny come to Hong Kong at K11 Art Mall with the K11《OUTSIDE IN: An Unconventional World of Art Toys》Jason Freeny Asia XXRAY Experience Store.
In its first phase, the showcase features sculptures of Freeny’s anatomical deconstructions of iconic characters - XXRAY Elmo (Snow Edition); Luffy, the beloved One Piece character; and Dissected POPek, the Squatting Balloon Dog designed with London-based artist Whatshisname.
To take home Freeny's imaginative creations this holiday season, K11《OUTSIDE IN》Jason Freeny Asia XXRAY Experience Store sells over 50 art toy styles including anatomized Sesame Street characters and special limited edition collectibles made in collaboration with design studio MIGHTY JAXX. For the perfect surprise gift, selected art toys also come in mysterious blind box packaging.
Other showcase highlights include Freeny’s crossover works with Mousy Little by STAYREAL from Taiwan and Mister HellYeah by Thai artist MAMAFAKA.
