SmarTone unveils ‘SmarTone 5G X Fun’ Roadshow
From 11-13 July, SmarTone unveils its ‘SmarTone 5G X Fun’ Roadshow to showcase exciting future 5G applications to the general public. Held at New Town Plaza in Shatin, the 3 day roadshow gives participants the chance to experience the endless potential of 5G, including Hong Kong’s first-ever 5G enable e-Motor Sports experience. Players can also visit other interactive booths to explore a host of 5G smart applications for everyday living, including Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), AI and cloud gaming.
As Hong Kong’s 5G technology trailblazer, SmarTone conducted the city’s first 5G demonstration two years ago before pioneering live field trials in March earlier this year. Over the next year, SmarTone will launch 5G services in major Hong Kong areas, with full 5G coverage expected within 2 years time.
The new roadshow will give the public new first-hand experience with 5G and help deepen their understanding of its disruptive capabilities. Characterised by unprecedented high speed, low latency and incredible connectivity, 5G technology will enable more innovative applications for individuals, enterprises and society and form the cornerstone for Hong Kong’s smart city development.
