YouTube

Hong Kong

Since 2017, we have worked with YouTube to drive excitement around the platform and celebrate YouTube’s amazing creators. Through various initiatives, YouTube has been able to build a vibrant Hong Kong community and inspire a new generation of creators.

To generate buzz around Pulse and FanFest - YouTube’s flagship B2B and B2C events - we secured media interviews with YouTube spokespeople and creators, coordinated media attendance, and collaborated with creators on live social posts and cross-platform promotions. We also organised share-worthy media invites with balloons to drive social media interest.

For YouTube Rewind in 2017 and 2018, we helped YouTube unveil the year’s Top Trending Cantopop, Top Rising Hong Kong Creators, and Top Trending Videos. To amplify Rewind, we organised a targeted media pitch and mobilised creative social engagement initiatives by collaborating with social influencer groups like WHIZOO (Hong Kong’s version of Buzzfeed) and creators such as famous singer Hins Cheung to discuss the top lists in their videos. We also spread the news amongst creators with tailor-made swag items including a Rubik’s cube and balloon set to encourage social media posts.

Throughout our tenure, we have also helped organise YouTube Fun Class, a regularly scheduled themed workshop series that connects different creators with media, fellow influencers, and lucky fans. Each Fun Class focuses on a different topic - for example, the “Women Power on YouTube” Fun Class celebrated International Women’s Day by sharing courageous & inspirational stories. Creators excited fans with their own ”Women Power” themed teaser videos in the event lead-up, while guests enjoyed interactive games, photo moments and creative workshops at the Fun Class.
